ADEC Innovations Joins Sustainability Forum

Macau, China {August 24-26, 2015} --- The High-Level, Multi-Stakeholder Strategy Forum on South-South Cooperation for Sustainable Development, held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel was attended by more than 200 delegates from different countries participating in an ambitious plan to scale up global support for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event aimed to review and strategically align existing instruments and innovative new approaches with diverse institutional partnerships and networks toward building an institutional alliance in the Global South to address global and regional challenges.
The Global CEO Alliance (GCEOA) was also officially launched during the forum by its Chairman, Mr. James Donovan, who is also the Chairman of the ADEC Foundation. The GCEOA envisions itself as the leading coalition of business leaders committed to impact investment for the achievement and advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals. It aims to mobilize business leaders, through partnerships with public, private and civil sectors, to develop innovative sustainability solutions in support of the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
The two-day forum resulted in the GCEOA committing to develop a long-term vision and strategic framework for South-South and triangular cooperation toward achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
